Redding California Restaurants

: There’s actually no shortage of good Redding Restaurants and Nightlife in the City of Redding. The main shopping and dining area on Hilltop Drive hosts many popular American chain restaurants such as Chevy's and Marie Calendars. But there are also some very nice ethnic restaurants popping up in around Redding.

FAVORITE RESTAURANTS

Our favorite place for a few evening cocktails:The Hatchcover at 202 Hempstead Drive has a nice outdoor deck that overlooks the Sacramento River with cozy fireplaces. Our favorite place for steaks: Jacks Grill on California Street in Downtown Redding is Reddings oldest steakhouse. We have been eating here for over 20 years and they have never faultered in their excellent quality meals. We have always had an absolutely wonderful meal here. The restaurant inside is a little dark which adds to the ambience. They do not take reservations so go early as the establishment gets very crowded.

A favorite for seafood is Buz'a Crab Stand located on East Street in Redding. An old Redding favorite with the locals, serving fresh seafood meals as well as a fresh seafood market. It looks like a cafeteria at first glance but the food they serve is excellent. A favorite for italian is Nello's Place, 3055 Becelli Lane, Redding. (530) 223-1636.

TOP ETHNIC RESTAURANTS:

Japanese:

Fuji Japanese restaurant on Placer Street in downtown Redding. This is a fairly new restaurant but they have very fresh sushi and great quality Japanese entres.

Sakura Sushi. 2130 East Street, Redding. (530) 244-0201. Fresh Japanese food and Sushi Indian
