Fishing License Information and Rules

Did you know that there are 2 days in the year when you can fish anywhere in California without a license

For 2005, California's free fishing days are JUNE 11TH and SEPTEMBER 24TH.
For 2006, California's free fishing days are JUNE 10TH and SEPTEMBER 23TH.

Once you have your rod, reel, bait and maps, you will need to purchase a fishing license. Rules on bait, size and limits, etc. depend on where you are fishing in.
